The inheritance of a Muslim is to be devolved upon his/ her legal heirs as per Shariah irrespective of the custom prevailing at that time- No limitation runs in inheritance matters- The moment a Muslim closes his / her eyes, legal heirs become owners of their respective share which cannot be taken away mere on the basis of an entry in the revenue record- Entry and sanctioning of inheritance mutation is mere a matter of updating the official record.
